(San Dimas) – San Dimas raced out to a 34-7 halftime lead and rolled to a 55-14 rout of Pomona Friday night on the Saints home field.

The running clock was put into effect in the fourth quarter when DJ Williams scored on a two-yard run to make it a 41 point margin with 9:49 left. You knew it was going to be a long night for Pomona when the Saints scored on the first play from scrimmage. Ryan Bulick hit Nick Cuda in stride and he sprinted into the endzone for a 75 yard touchdown.

On the next series San Dimas marched 60 yards on nine plays with Bleau Wallace scoring on a one yard run.

Early in the second quarter it was 21-0 as Jacob Buccola picked up six with another one-yard blast to cap a 62 yard march.

The Saints who typically butter their bread on the ground went to the air again on the next possession to do some more damage. Bulick scramble out of the pocket and threw a strike to Noah Flores in the corner of the endzone for a 30 yard touchdown.

Pomona broke though with just over seven minutes left in the half on a 9 yard TD pass from Anthony Banuelos to Amari Waddell but that just seemed to make the Saints mad. They immediately put together another 62 yard drive with Buccola getting his second of the night on a two yard run.

It was more of the same in the second half. Wallace scored his second touchdown of the night on a one yard run early in the third and Cuda got his second, this one on the ground from 11 yards out.

Mid way through the second quarter Pomona out up one last murmur of protest when Banuelos connected on a 38 yard touchdown pass but that was all the Red Devils could muster.

The Saints piled up 390 yards on the ground with Cuda leading the way with 158 yards on 13 carries. Buccola had 132 yards rushing and Wallace ran for 72 in the devastating attack.

Bulick also threw for 176 yards as San Dimas amassed over 500 yards total yards.

San Dimas improved to 3-2 with the win while Pomona fell to 1-5. This sets up a huge Valle Vista league opener next week for the Saints next week when they take on Northview at Covina District Field next Friday night.
