Blue Jays 9 Yankees 8

The Blue Jays scored five runs in the fifth inning to erase an 8-3 deficit and went on to beat the Yankees 9-8. David Gutierrez had three hits and three runs batted in and Robert Gonzalez had a pair of hits including an RBI triple in the seven hit attack.

Elijah Saenz had two hits and a ribbie for the Yankees and Brian Gonzales and a run scoring double.

The Yanks had scored six in the third to open up a five run advantage before the Jays came storming back. In the Jays fifth, Gutierrez, had an RBI double and Gonzalez ripped a triple to drive in a run to highlight the inning.

May 20

Orioles 11 Yankees 0

The Orioles scored 11 runs in the first three innings including five in the third to win the mercy rule rout.

The Yanks managed just one hit off of Oriole hurlers Jerry Garcia and Isaiah Perez. Christian Zalada tripled in the third but that was it for the Yankees.

Ryan Verdugo, Angel Lopez, and Justin Urquidez all had two hits for the Orioles and the Birds had nine base knocks overall. Lopez and Urquidez each drove in a run.

May 21

Orioles 1 Baldwin Park American Yankees 0

Angel Lopez threw five innings and allowed just four hits in a 1-0 Oriole shut out of the Baldwin Park Yankees.

The Birds had only two hits themselves but they made them stand up. In the fourth the Orioles pushed across the game winner when Lopez helped himself with a triple and scored on a single by Justin Urquidez.

Lopez fanned 14 and did not walk a batter using 86 pitches. Yankee pitchers Ricardo Reyes and Julian Rodriguez combined to strike out 11 (9 by Rodriguez) and walk three.
