  1. Marv Marinovich, a captain of USC’s 1962 national championship team and the father of former USC/ LA Raiders quarterback Todd Marinovich, passed away at the age of 81. 
  2. UCLA beat Arizona State 25-18 Saturday night to improve to 3-2 on the year.  
  3. Coastal Carolina improved to 10-0 with a 22-17 win over previously unbeaten BYU (9-1) Saturday. 
  4. #1 Alabama routed LSU 55-17 Saturday. 
  5. The Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals 38-28 Sunday to improve to 8-4 on the year.   
  6. USC remained undefeated at 4-0 with a 38-13 rout of Washington State Sunday night at the Coliseum.  
  7. Free agent linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who’s last stop was with the Oakland Raiders last year when he was suspended for the remainder of the season for a Week 4 hit on a receiver, was arrested Saturday in Nevada on a misdemeanor battery charge. 
  8. Derek Carr hit Henry Ruggs with a 46-yard touchdown pass with five seconds left to give the Raiders a 31-28 win over the New York Jets Sunday. The Jets fell to 0-12 on the season.
  9. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was benched in favor of Jalen Hurts Sunday in the third quarter but the Eagles still came up short in a 30-16 loss to the Green Bay Packers. 
  10. The Rams will host the New England Patriots at SoFi Stadium Thursday night.

    Well, it looks like the L.A. Rams are going to make the playoffs after beating the New England Patriots tonight. They’re now 9-4 and they have an excellent chance of winning at least two of their three remaining games.
    The Seattle Seahawks will be hard to defeat, but the other two games the Rams have left are at home against the Arizona Cardinals, a team they recently beat on the road, and the winless New York Jets.

    La Serna Lancers defeated Damien 24-7 Saturday night in Division 3 Championship game. Next Saturday night State Semi against Corona Del Mar.
