(“The TEN” is not a top ten but ten items worth being included in “The TEN”

  1. Oregon beat USC 31-24 Friday night in the Pac 12 Championship game at the Coliseum. Previously unbeaten USC dropped to 5-1.   
  2. Stanford beat UCLA 48-47 in double overtime Saturday at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins finished the season at 3-4. 
  3. Clemson routed Notre Dame 34-10 in the ACC Championship game Saturday. 
  4. The New York Jets upset the Rams 23-20 Sunday at SoFi Stadium. The Rams dropped to 9-5 with the loss while the Jets picked up their first win of the season and are now 1-13.  
  5. Ohio State beat Northwestern 22-10 Saturday in the Big 10 Championship game. 
  6. San Jose State improved to 7-0 with a 34-20 win over Boise State Saturday in the Mountain West Championship game. 
  7. The CFP semifinal game scheduled for January 1st at the Rose Bowl is being moved to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. 
  8. Number one ranked Alabama (11-0) beat Florida 52-46 Saturday night in the SEC Championship game. 
  9. USC announced Saturday in a news release that it is opting out of bowl opportunities this season due to COVID-19 concerns and injuries. The Trojans are the fifth Pac 12 team to opt out of a bowl game joining UCLA, Stanford, Washington and Utah.   
  10. College Football Playoff: #1 Alabama vs. #4 Notre Dame; #2 Clemson vs. #3 Ohio State.

    Good for the San Jose State Spartans; this could end up being their best season ever. Hopefully, they’ll continue to play as well when fans can come see them again.
