  1. New England Patriots quarterback coach Jedd Fisch was named the head coach at the University of Arizona. Fisch will replace Kevin Sumlin who was fired recently. 
  2. Hawai’i beat Houston 28-14 Thursday in the New Mexico Bowl. 
  3. Former Auburn head coach Terry Bowden was named the head football coach at Louisiana-Monroe. 
  4. San Jose State is finalizing an extension with head football coach Brent Brennan after he led the team to a 7-0 record, the school’s best in more than 80 years. 
  5. Rams at Seattle, Sunday 1:25 p.m. FOX. 
  6. The Dodgers signed reliever Tommy Kahnle to a two-year, $4.75 million deal. Kahnle, who was most recently with the New York Yankees, had Tommy John surgery in August. 
  7. The Oregon-UCLA basketball game scheduled for Wednesday was postponed due to COVID-19 testing protocols for game officials. 
  8. AP Men’s College Basketball Top 5: 1. Gonzaga 2. Baylor 3. Kansas 4. Iowa 5. Villanova. 
  9. Happy Birthday to former San Gabriel head football coach Keith Jones who turned 61 Wednesday.
