- Azusa Pacific’s Mandrell Worthy was named the PacWest Southern California Player of the Week for his performance in two Cougar victories. On Saturday he scored a career high 26 points, had 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in a 67-61 win over Concordia.
- The Angels suspended pitching coach Mickey Callaway in the wake of a report in which five women accused Callaway of lewd behavior.
