  1. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to a new contract for the 2021 season. Roethlisberger willingly reduced his pay by $5 million to return to the team. 
  2. Michigan beat Michigan State 69-50 Thursday night to clinch the Big Ten Championship.
  3. The New York Giants released wide receiver Golden Tate. 
  4. New York Jets GM Joe Douglas said he will listen to trade offers for quarterback Sam Darnold. 
  5. Oregon wrapped up the Pac 12 Conference title with an 82-74 win over UCLA Wednesday night. 
  6. MLB will hold a sportwide Lou Gehrig Day on June 2 starting this season. 
  7. “We Should be very good. My quarterback is a junior and is looking better than last year and I have a freshman running back who looks like Zaquand Irby.” – Ganesha head football coach Don Cayer. Ganesha opens the season September 26 at home against Nogales. 
  8. San Dimas HC Mark Holman says to keep an eye on “Super Frosh” Decker DeGraaf, TE/LB, 6′ 3″, 200 lbs.
