1. Casey Spencer went five innings, struck out eight and allowed just one run as Arcadia shut out Pasadena 9-0 Tuesday.

2. Dodgers pitcher Dustin May will undergo Tommy John surgery and is out for the year. 

3. Former USC receiver Tyler Vaughns signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent. 

4. Clayton Kershaw gave up four runs, four hits and two walks in just one inning in a 7-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader. It was Kershaw’s shortest start of his career. 

5. The Las Vegas Raiders signed cornerback Casey Hayward Jr. the team announced Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed. Hayward spent the last five years of his career with the Chargers. 

6. The Baltimore Ravens signed former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva to a two-year, $14 million deal. 

7. South Hills baseball coach Darren Murphy won his 400th career game Tuesday with a 8-2 victory over Diamond Bar. 

8. Marshall baseball is in first place in the MVL with a record of 6-0 (9-1 overall). 

9. La Canada basketball is in first place in the Rio Hondo League at 3-0 but the Spartans are 3-6 overall. 

10. Former USC/NBA guard Harold Miner turns 50 today.
