Odd that pro athletes are still gettting covid. You almost have to try to get it in order to be infected.

I’m not one to question the accuracy of these ‘Tens’, but come on….Brennan couldn’t have died from taking too much fentanyl; the Chauvin trial proved that beyond a reasonable doubt.

I assume you were aware that Colt Brennan died yesterday at Hoag Hospital due to a reported overdose due to Fentanyl. A sad end to a once bright life. He was found unconscious and taken to the hospital where he died. According to reports he was surrounded by his family and some friends when he passed.
I knew him as a young boy who was part of a close family that produced a series of athletes. His brother is the head coach at San Jose St (football) and was quite an athlete. His sister was also an outstanding College athlete. So it is hard to understand how kids can come out so differently from the same environment.
He had one of the greatest seasons for any college quarterback and still holds many records. As his nomination for the Heisman Trophy shows.
But I prefer to remember him as part of a group of kids who would engage in all sorts of challenges, back yard races, etc. If you could make a competition of it they would do it. He was one of the youngest in that passel of kids but he held his own. I took them fishing and will remember that when I think of him as a 10-11 yr old kid before his life went to the heights and then to the depths.

    RIP Colt Brennan
