Many say the best baseball team ever was the Ruth-Gehrig 1927 Yankees. The two greats had BA’s of about .350 but the Yanks had 5 starters and 4 of them had ERA’s under 3.00. In fact the team ERA was 3.18. And I bet you can’t name 1 of those starters that won between 18-20 games apiece. Otani the hitter is a novelty. Otani the pitcher is what the Angels need. And his durability is a big question.

With Trout and Otani the Angels have arguably the two best players in the game. And yet will finish near the bottom in a weak league. Trade Otani and Trout for sturdy pitching and they will win with my grandma playing centerfield or DH.

Well Goose, it tells me that the ball isn’t going to get hit very much. Looks like baseball isn’t just difficult to play…it’s difficult to watch.
