That was a very good win for La Serna, their losses have come against some really solid teams, anyone who thinks LS is not the favorite in the DRL doesn’t know football.

Once you get in the playoffs you’re playing OC teams, IE, etc so teams from the SGV that want to win a title got to play like those teams do. Tell a team that won a title with all homegrown talent. It’s just the way it is now. Hopefully ER will be the first this year, I’d love to see it. But these schools should be in it to win it all cause that’s all that matters.

La Serna has good teams every year but they are also going down what are they now division 6 used to be higher they are going down. Have not been the same since Beltran was there play where you play let ER do the same they don’t choose the division they play on its Cif.

@ LS watcher. This is not La Serna’s best team ever, far from it. They have a younf team but will be much better in the next few years. Other del rio teams can give them a run but will most likey they will pull it out. Good luck to the Del rio league this season.

Just let the kids have fun playing a game they enjoy. Props to the schools building their programs with the talent they have . Those are the coaches that help build boys into good young men. Stocking your team with transfer and players who wouldn’t be welcome in your neighborhood if they weren’t football players. Kind of bush league way to try and win. We all know which schools they are.

La Serna is the real deal. They defeat Tesoro a legit OC powerhouse by 9 points. They gave up 39 yards on the ground to Tesoro. That’s it. They gave up less than 200 yards total offense to Tesoro. That’s all. La Serna doubled that number. Sure they are 2-2 but have you seen who they have played? This could be La Serna’s best team ever…And yet I have yet too see La Serna faithful supporting their Lancers. Are they watching this team? Or are they too busy on their phones dissing other Del Rio teams. The other teams are not in La Serna’s league and perhaps they shouldn’t be but that discussion is for another day. I don’t get it. Anyway GO LANCERS. Way to represent the DEL RIO.

All these ER haters that are afraid to name their team and post as ANONYMOUS and other disguises are the cowardly LS fans. ER respects the players and coaches of La Serna and what they do but it’s the fans that have little connection to football that get not an ounce of respect. You notice their focus is not to support their team, nary a word about them, but the aim is to hate on ER. There is a word for that hate.

2016 – 1st year at ER, takes over a program left in shambles that went 1-9 in 2015. Coaches ER to a 5-6 record against a stacked schedule, quarterfinal loss to CIF champion Valley Christian 30-12, 5 players named All-CIF

    2017 – subpar season

2018 – predicted to go 2-8, end up 9-3 with a Semi Final appearance and a last minute loss to undefeated CIF champion Eisenhower. 4 players named All-CIF

2019 – returned 3 starters, end up going 9-4 with a last minute quarterfinal loss 75 miles away in Hemet, 5’3 QB Chris Andrade named league OPoy and all CIF QB along with 2 other players being named all cif.

All of this done without ever recruiting 1 player, simply coaching up the kids who show up. Not sure why we have any haters, we don’t showboat, we don’t come in here and proclaim we are the best, we’re just trying to win some games with our home grown talent.

Building local is a myth because when you do that people complain that you don’t win enough. When you truly have local kids you will be up and down because the talent will just not be there many years. People will say you had 5 years why are you worse now? Simple answer is the kids that came in didn’t have much experience or athleticism and the one real player was recruited by xyz.
Or you have the coach that fills I’m after a coach who transfered left and everyone says OMG why are they so bad now that this coach is here instead of realizing all the transfers are gone and this is the actual talent bed and the previous coach didn’t want to coach your local kids this was just a springboard to another job and a spot he knew he could bring a few players in and win easily.

Another once very good program that lost it’s good head coach is Colony. They are 0-4 and lost to weak Claremont 13-6. They are going straight downhill. BTW the coach that is steering this crash and burn is Mid Valley Sports long time fav coach Brian Zavala. I think Peterson is one of his advisors.

Alabama is playing Mercer today. Who? Anyone even know where that school is located. It’s like Pioneer High taking on St.John Bosco. Mercer 8000 students Alabama 40,000 students, At the half as expected with Alabama playing starters and fighting hard led teeny weeny Mercer 31-0 at the half. Servite played Amat. Servite is not Alabama and Amat is not Mercer or are they? At the half Amat was losing 44-0. I guess Amat isn’t even in a Mercer category. No Bueno. Time to rethink not what program has the best athletes and biggest names and D1 offers but what program gets the most out of the guys they got and is also fun to watch ala Covina-Northview. That would be an interesting ranking 1-25.

If you take all the teams that El Rancho has played and added up all the points they have scored so far this season it would equal 80 points (that is an average of 5 pts. a game). One of the teams they beat, Sierra Vista, has not scored all year long. La Serna has played Bonita, Warren, Tesoro and will travel to Culver City. Please stop comparing the two teams.

CIF head Rob Wigod has confirmed the creation of a new “downer” division whose title game will be dubbed the Embarrassment Bowl. Two teams will have their seasons suspended at the point where their performances have become pathetic, and they will immediately play each other for the right to wear special CIF “rings of regression.” First up in the category: La Serna vs. La Habra.

Following Amat _Servite game. Robledo just tweeted score 44-0 Servite. Said probably the worst half in Amat history. Ya Think? Its the worst half in anybody’s history. So bad that trailing 35-0 Amat did not even want the ball in the 1st half so they took a safety on purpose. I think that was coach Matt V’s call.
