FYI
MY SON WILL NOT BE HOPPING TO AMAT!!!
@Keeping It Real, you wish we folded like a cheap suit. That’s all your can say. We lost by two points. We’re gonna play just as hard if not harder next year and if we run up the score who cares. Why cry about a score cry about the coaches not guiding and preparing their teams. So your so bent on a score get over it. You can watch us next year. We can save a spot for you too Hater #2.
Blue and Gold are not his colors
As predicted! Monrovia folded like a cheap suit! They finally played some competition and they could not handle it. Maybe next year you’ll have a tougher schedule and you won’t be throwing the ball up by 60.
You better get your fact straight. You must of not been around then. I’m sure all the boys regret it but one. They got screwed. Amat always looks for talent. The only reason they play big boy football is because everyone goes there to reclass once and now twice. Hernandez is not going to Bishop
@watch your mouth… watch your mouth… them kids want to come to AMAT for one REASON to play big boy football and sometimes it doesnt always work out… Better hang on to him tight … he will be wearing BLUE and GOLD in the spring time..
@TLKTOMENICEPLZ Amat always takes Monrovia kids. Do you know the history? Especially that year Monrovia kids went there and then they had to leave most of them screwed themselves? They would of been better off staying at Monrovia. That for sure is a wrong way road. Amat already has a twice reclassified player originally from Monrovia. Is he not enough? Let Monrovia keep Hernandez.
Hanks for keeping it real and I agree.
LMAO! @Dez you are definitely are who I thought were! Only you would talk like this!!! Gotta a question for ya tho, if the MVL doesn’t play real football like the Del Rio does, why couldn’t you finish better than fourth place? Pretty pathetic for a “Del Rio” Coach to finish a measly fourth in the pitiful mission valley league. Maybe just maybe you guys finished fourth is because of you! Maybe you aren’t as good as you think you are! Time to look in the mirror and realize you suck big dog! No wonder no one wants you associated with their program, because you cause far to much trouble than your worth! Enjoy watching the three teams that kicked your tails play this week. Take some notes it’ll help you because from i what I hear y’all are gonna be looking for a new gig!!!
@kepping it real
Thanks for speaking the truth. I don’t know why it took somebody so long to say what we all know. All of the kids that work very hard should have had a lot more playing time in a blowout.
Carlos H. should be looking to hop on the road and head to AMAT.. WHERE ALL ROADS LEAD BACK TO!!…
All this talk about Monrovia high school I think it’s time to “keep it real.” Their team and coaching staff are no better than Inglewood high schools football team. First of all they had a JV schedule much like El Rancho. 8 out of the 10 teams they played this season had a negative Cal Preps rating. If you were to add up all of their opponents Cal preps ratings together it would equal -86 points. The Monrovia football coaching staff fell in love with stat padding instead of teaching their boys good sportsmanship. When they were blowing out one of these mediocre opponents they continued to throw the ball in the third and fourth quarter. Most teams with class would pull their starters, run the football, and live to fight another day. Their quarterback and wide receiver had video game like numbers, but if they were on a team with class those stats would’ve been cut in half. Just how many touchdowns were thrown at the end of a blowout? Good for you…you have players that have nationally ranked stats. You still have a mediocre football team that will fold like a cheap suit against tough competition.
@Anonymous Monrovia HS, Round 2. Anonymous you got your nose way up there! Hernandez will be here next year. Since your hating so much you should donate to him. Look why don’t you come to our game this Friday we will have a special spot for you so you can admire Hernandez and Rest of the Team! We are so honored to have a follower like you. I mean who needs haters when we got you. So who ever is feeding you these lies please tell us more. Im sure everyone is interested now. I feel sad for you this all you have going on in your pitiful life for excitement. It’s like watching a series on Netflix but instead it’s a hater on Mid Valley Sports. You have nothing better to do with your time. And let’s gets this straight there is NO trash at Monrovia. Football is a team sport it’s not an individual sport just in case you we’re confused. I wonder what made you suck in life. Were the kids mean to you at school or did the coaches know you sucked as a kid? Something caused you you be a hater…we can go all day! I dare you to say the kids at Monrovia are trash to a parent. You will for sure be put in the trash our #1 follower.
Good Evening Mr. Peterson,
You’re very welcome…..I just don’t know who this anonymous person is and where he got that info🤷🏻♀️ too many people are talking out of their a$$es and trying create problems for my son. I’ll get to the bottom of this.
Mr. Anonymous
FYI my son Carlos Hernandez WILL NOT BE ATTENDING WARREN HS next year. What idiot told you that?? The nerve to say “is gunna be at Warren HS” 😂😂😂that’s hilarious. You’re such a fool. I would be very careful what you say from now on…..next time I won’t be pleasant.
From T. Peterson: Thank you for clearing that up. I really didn’t feel like making phone calls trying to find out. I appreciate it and I’m glad to hear Carlos will be at Monrovia.
Arroyo will never leave the MVL. It would be fun to see them in the Del Rio though. They beat Whittier 24-21. Whittier went 1-3 in league. Interesting. They know they’re going to blow everyone out in league. I don’t know why they don’t beef up their non league schedule and play the likes of Monrovia, Charter Oak or El Rancho in the preseason. Wouldn’t those be fun games?
@everyone talking about Arroyo
Absolutely they should be forced out of the league. the advantages are massive not only with size of the school but with stipends. of course they can fill out a better staff because they get two more stipends then everyone else! which is why the other schools have to hire recent grads to split the stipend. or they volunteer. Arroyo is a solid program but they are the biggest fish in the pond. they should be placed in the Del Rio not the Almont. They play real football in the river league! @me
Soooo… you’re not dismissing the fact that Carlos Hernandez is gunna be at Warren HIgh this time next year? And Monrovia is gonna be trash without their illegal transfers?
100% agree. Without a doubt, Arroyo has had good coaches. McKinnon and staff and Singiser and staff were great. But them at Mt View and they don’t have the success they had at Arroyo. That’s a given. Arroyo has more kids and they have a lot more kids that played football before high school. That goes a long way. Arroyo folks will say we are hating but that’s simply the truth. They get the best of the best every year.
@Anonymous Monrovia HS, damn you mad bro. It’s either you wish your kid was that good, or you wish he was on varsity at Monrovia right now or you wish you were a starter in football. Stop being a hater you run your mouth too much behind the screen anonymous. Enjoy watching Monrovia our #1 follower.
Goldbricker: I totally agree that you absolutely need players to be successful. Great coaching is a big part of success, but you need players to get to the next level. Regardless, you still have to “coach up” the guys you have. That may or may not lead to a league title or beyond, but it does matter. Having been a part of the MVL for more than 40 years as an athlete and coach, coaching matters more in the MVL than some others. Our schools are usually not blessed with tremendous athletes in any sport, although there have been some over the years. The majority of the kids in our area grow up playing baseball, softball and soccer-not so much football. Those sports at the EMUHSD schools are usually more consistent due to the experience growing up. A lot of football kids start from scratch in high school at the MVL schools, which can be difficult if the lower level coaching isn’t the greatest. Add to that the fact that more and more parents are not allowing their kids to play football, well you can see where that can lead. Before South opened, Arroyo, Rosemead and El Monte were all over 2000 students, and MVHS was around 16-1700. I never understood the need to have 2 schools with only 11-1200 kids while the other 3 stayed at 1800-plus.
