2—Denver Nuggets run away from the Boston Celtics last night, 103-84 in Denver. This was the Celtics last game of a four-game road trip with stops in Golden State, Los Angeles (Lakers), and Phoenix

3— The new stadium for the eventual Las Vegas Athletics remains on schedule. It is set to open in 2028.

4—On this date in 2013 the Gabrielino and Marshall Fundamental girls soccer teams met in the CIF Div. 7 semifinal at Gabrielino High School.

5—On this day in 1935 the New York Yankees release Babe Ruth. He later signs with the Boston Braves.

6— In 2014—Former Charter Oak/San Diego State running back Adam Muema left the NFL Scouting Combine because he said God told him to do so. Muema also said God told him that he will play for the Seattle Seahawks.

7—“I just don’t like the talk around the USA versus European style of how you approach the game. 8—On this day in 1989 the Dallas Cowboys fired head coach Tom Landry after a 29-year career

9—Max Scherzer, three-time Cy Young Award winner, is returning to the Toronto Blue Jays for his 19th season. Scherzer is 41.

10— Hall of Famer and Former Dodger/Oriole first baseman Eddie Murray turns 70 today.
