I don’t think anyone is putting down the kids. It’s your fan base always talking smack. You reap what you sow.

Put Sierra Canyon in Division 1 where they belong, but instead they are perpetually down divisioned and rewarded.. When you are a private school, recruiting the children of NFL players and former Players, you should be in Div 1.

South Pasadena is a good example of the unusual way that leagues are constructed. SP could not get arrested for years was on the outside looking in where a 3rd place league finish was a win rewarded by a bus trip to some far flung locations against a top seed.

Now that they got past and got into the playoffs, all be it in Div 13, they are now looking like a lock for a CIF championship after squeaking by in a couple of games to make third place in league. It has been a long exile, so good for them.

Point is that CIF championships seem to be built in the CIF SS office.

Note the Baylor game :01 field goal also casts light upon the discussion about the Inglewood 106-0 game and CIF SS statements about sportsmanship etc, without the relevant self inspection about the ranking process for playoffs and tie breakers that motivate the situations. Baylor’s coach stated he called time out and kicked the field goal due to tie breakers that might come into play.
The CIF investigation should start in their own offices.

How did Schurr do last night? I didn’t see that plump Estrada downing chili fries like they were going out of style. Lol. This is what happens when you have a frequent eater card at Arry’s. Good luck next year….

The reason these people are A-holes to kids is because they aren’t happy with their lives and what they have accomplished after high school. Trust me no successful person is coming on a high school blog to throw shade at hs kids for being “overrated” and losing a playoff game….

@ HTCS: Thanks. As for myself, I’m happy for our players, and for Coach Bergstrom and his staff. We were able to grind out a quarterfinal victory on the road; the guys didn’t let a round trip of more than 225 miles go to waste.
After a 1-4 start to the season, we’ve evened our record at 6-6 and we’re now going to the Division 14 semifinals. Alhambra’s players and coaches will do their best to finish the job with a championship.

Maybe instead of putting down teams of high school kids who tried their best, and had the courage and willingness to go out and play the game. They should all be congratulated and praised for their work and effort. Most off you so called adults who constantly attack programs and schools you don’t like probably never put on pads and helmets before. Or else you would realize how tough and physical this game can be. Remember that these are all 14-18 young men who the majority of will never play football again after their senior year. They do it for love of the game.
If El Rancho loses in first round of playoffs, after having a great year. Those players I’m sure are disappointed, but should be proud of what they accomplished this year. Players from Santa Fe should be proud of just going out every week and trying their best to compete. La Serna should be proud of their accomplishments so far, and be well wished for what’s in store for them. Stop being such a-holes!

DELETED you are obsessed with ER mike. Sour grapes all because the ER staff wanted your son to flourish instead he folded like an accordion and couldn’t take someone being hard on him. Definition of soft.
