The AFC is led by the Colts (5-1), and the Steelers (4-1), while the surprising (5-1) Bucs have continued to dominate the NFC, led by quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Falling back to the pack, was the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, and week 6 began in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
*Philadelphia (4-1) @ NY Giants (1-4): NYG 34-17
The future of the Giants has arrived, and boy its fun to watch!
The Giants high-profile rookies showed why they are starting already, with QB Jaxson Dart (195 yards passing-td/58 yards rushing-td) and RB Cam Scattebo (98 yards rushing-3 td’s) leading the Giants to a dominant win.
Giants fans showed their opinions on the youth movement, when Dart was pinballed on a tackle, and had to be in concussion protocol.
The minute backup QB Russell Wilson hit the field he was booed and it didnt let up until Dart returned.
The team is Dart’s now and look for Wilson to be on the move again.
The Eagles looked mortal as QB Jalen Hurts had accuracy issues early and RB Saquon Barkley continues to underwhelm (67 total yards).
Barkley has yet to return to the form that had him rush for over 2000 yards in 2024, and the number of carries last season may have taken its toll.
Sunday:
*Detroit (4-1) @ Kansas City (2-3): KC 30-17
The Chiefs were being written off as past their window, and in need of a few retirements.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (257 yards-3 passing td’s/rushing td) then reminded the sports world why Kansas City has been in five of the last six Super Bowls.
Travis Kelce led the Chiefs with 78 yards receiving but added a new controversy by wearing a “Free 4” t-shirt during pregame warmups.
“4” refers to teammate Rasheed Rice, who nearly killed people drag racing in his Lambo, and then fled the scene.
He will spend 30 days in jail, after racing nearly 120 mph and causing a six-car pileup and given the light sentence, Kelce should have kept that to himself.
Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster has been known to run his mouth…a lot!
Whatever he said to Lions S Brian Branch after the game concluded set him off and he took a swipe at Schuster.
Branch is looking at a stiff penalty.

*Buffalo (4-1) @ Atlanta (2-2)
Football fans, meet the NFL’s 3rd-leading rusher, Bijan Robinson.
The Falcons running back rushed for 170 yards and a score, and caught 6 receptions for another 68 yards in a breakout game.
On the season Robinson is averaging 98 yards per game, 2nd in the NFL.
Wide receiver Drake London had his second consecutive 100-yard game (158-td) on 10 catches and has become a focus for QB Michael Penix Jr. of late.
The Falcons played error-free ball while Bills QB Josh Allen struggled (2 ints/2 fumbles-both recovered by Bills players).
