- The Lakers hired former Milwaukee Bucks assistant Darvin Ham as their new head coach.
- The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat 100-96 Sunday night to win the Eastern Conference Finals in seven games. The Celtics will face the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
- The Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1 Sunday to sweep the four-game series and go 8-2 on the road trip. The Dodgers, 33-14, are three games ahead of the San Diego Padres in the NL West.
- MLB suspended Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tommy Pham for three games for slapping Atlanta Braves outfielder Joc Pederson in the face over a fantasy football league dispute prior to last Friday’s game.
- The Angels, 27-22, have lost six straight games after an 11-10 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays Sunday.
- Azusa Pacific baseball lost two out of three to Point Loma over the weekend and were eliminated from the NCAA Division 2 Super Regionals.
