  1. The Denver Broncos agreed to a trade with the New Orleans Saints to make Sean Payton their new head coach. The Broncos are expected to make Payton one of the highest paid coaches in the league. 
  2. The Houston Texans hired San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans as their new head coach. 
  3. Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Hull passed away at the age of 84. 
  4. The 49ers current quarterback situation: Brock Purdy has a torn ulnar collateral ligament and will be out six months. Jimmy Garoppolo broke his foot in December and is a free agent. Trey Lance fractured his fibula and had torn ligament damage that required two surgeries on his ankle. 
  5. San Gabriel is looking to fill multiple coaching positions and has on campus jobs available as well as teaching positions. If interested DM head football coach Kevin Encinas on Twitter for details. 
  6. Jacob Ochoa has stepped down as the head football coach at Glendale and will join the football coaching staff at Maranatha. 
  7. The Dodgers agreed to a two-year, $6.65 million contract with right-hander Tony Gonsolin.   
  8. Outfielder Dexter Fowler retired after a 14-year career. Fowler played center field and was the leadoff hitter for the Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series winning team. 
  9. Baldwin Park will host La Mirada in Week 4 next season. 
  10. The Chargers hired former Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore as their new OC.

    Pasadena Monrovia and Muir better get their HC situation settled. It seems every year one or the other gets the lions share of Pasadena area stars and a settled HC situation gives one a good start.
