- Longtime area assistant football coach Eric Elias has been named the Offensive Coordinator/ Assistant Head Coach at Cantwell.
- Brooks Koepka, Viktor Hovland and Jon Rahm and tied for first at seven under after the first day at the Masters.
- Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill said he will retire after his contract runs out after the 2025 season.
- The New York Jets signed former Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Tim Boyle to a one-year contract.
- Denver Broncos legend John Elway, who has been with the organization for 28 years as a player and an executive, is no longer with the franchise as his current contract as a consultant wasn’t renewed.
- Veteran defensive lineman Corey Peters announced his retirement after 12 NFL seasons. Peters played in 12 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season.
- The Milwaukee Bucks have wrapped up the best record in the Eastern Conference. The Denver Nuggets will have the best record in the Western Conference.
- On this date in 2003 Syracuse beat Kansas 81-78 to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. Carmelo Anthony was named Tournament Outstanding Player.
