  1. Glendale and Hoover are returning to the Pacific League for football making the Pacific again an eight-team league. 
  2. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has reportedly decided to move on from head coach Bill Belichick after this season. 
  3. Former NBA/ ABA star/ Hall of Famer George McGinnis passed away Thursday at the age of 73. 
  4. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 64 points to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 140-126 win over the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night. 
  5. Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended indefinitely by the NBA after he struck Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face in a 119-116 loss Monday night. 
  6. Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe plans to return to the school for his senior season. 
  7. Oregon State quarterback Aidan Chiles, who played in high school at Downey, is transferring to Michigan State. Chiles will join head coach Jonathan Smith who also recently left Oregon State for Michigan State.
  8. Former Tennessee Titans/ Houston Oilers tight end Frank Wycheck, 52, passed away last Saturday after a fall at his home. Wycheck is known for the one of the most famous plays in NFL history, the “Music City Miracle” that took place on January 8, 2000 at the end of the AFC wild-card playoff game between the Titans and the Buffalo Bills at Adelphia Coliseum in Nashville. The Bills had taken a 16-15 lead on a field goal with 16 seconds remaining. On the ensuing kickoff return, Wycheck threw a lateral across the field to wide receiver/kick returner Kevin Dyson, who then ran 75 yards to score the winning touchdown in the Titans’ 22-16 victory.
  9. Oregon vs Oregon State, “The Civil War” rivalry in football will remain intact for two years the schools announced Thursday. 
  10. The Las Vegas Raiders beat the Chargers 63-21 on Thursday Night Football.

    @ ?… All LS players are homegrown and coached up the right way.
    Courage? Character?? Commitment???
    The Friendly Hills is a hotbed for talent, no need to venture south of Whittier Blvd.

    Why you ask ? Okay. Because a coach that can’t coach up his own players but has to look elsewhere just before league to buy another QB is not a coach but a {fill it in yourself) Yeah,yeah ,yeah I already know all your excuses.

    #1 …. If they are both back in , this benefits the league by giving them another automatic qualifier. There will now be 4 AQs ( from current 6 ) because as noted neither Glendale or Hoover going to make it in foreseeable future .

    George IS nothing without players that live outside LS attendance zone. Lets see him coach up LS locals. He would quit and run for the hills in a heartbeat.

    Belichick is nothing without Brady. While the footballs were underinflated, the coach’s worth was greatly overinflated.
