  1. The Chargers are releasing receiver Mike Williams. The move will save the Chargers $20 million against their cap and Williams becomes a free agent. 
  2. After acquiring running back Joe Mixon from the Cincinnati Bengals for a seventh-round draft pick in 2024 the Houston Texans signed Mixon to a three-year, $27 million deal Thursday. 
  3. The Seattle Seahawks acquired quarterback Sam Howell from the Washington Commanders on Thursday. Howell will be the backup to Geno Smith. 
  4. The Las Vegas Raiders agreed to a two-year, $25 million deal with quarterback Gardner Minshew. Minshew started 13 games for the Indianapolis Colts last year and threw for 3,505 yards and 15 touchdowns. 
  5. USC and UCLA were both knocked out of the Men’s College Basketball Pac-12 Tournament Thursday. The Trojans fell to Arizona 70-49 while Oregon beat the Bruins 68-66.  
  6. “I never really heard any players say they fear LeBron.” – Shaquille O’Neal. 
  7. Claremont running back Gatsbee Gumban (Class of ’27) has transferred to Covina. 
  8. Azusa Pacific at Cal State LA, NCAA Division II College Basketball Men’s Tournament – 1st Round, Friday 5:00 p.m. 
  9. The San Diego Padres acquired right-hander Dylan Cease from the Chicago White Sox for four prospects Wednesday. 
  10. The Chargers have also agreed to trade wide receiver Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears for a fourth-round pick.

    I “fear” Bronny James will not be in the NBA next season. That’s even if daddy tries to buy a spot on some roster for the kid.
