Charter Oak’s Arrington Commits to Penn State

Charter Oak’s LaVar Arrington II has committed to Penn State.

(Covina) – Charter Oak athlete LaVar Arrington II, class of ’25, has committed to Penn State, following in his father’s footsteps Rivals and several sources confirmed Thursday on Twitter (X).

Last Year Arrington had 65 tackles, 12 sacks and 9 hurries and an interception as an outside linebacker as a junior for the Chargers. He also had 6 catches for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns.

LaVar Arrington Sr. was a first-team All-American for Penn State in 1998 and ’99 before going on to the NFL. He was one of the biggest names in program history.

Arrington II received offers from several schools including Michigan State, Oregon and Washington before choosing the Nittany Lions.

    I saw him play last year and in the CO tournament, the kid is legit. He is good for the SGV because he brings colleges to see him and they notice other players will potential. I was hoping he stay on the west coast, but now the Big 10 has west coast teams so that might have made his decision to play at PS. I hope to see many more D1 kids come out of the SGV.
