Ten? Which teams did LS “tank” as you say? They beat all league teams by so many points which I suggest there was no tanking

Coach Maxie is a big poster on X and social media. If he wanted a change of venue he would have been all over posting his request. Snow had been predicted for a week. My take is he liked the conditions and it would give him and his program national exposure. He was right. I think he could have got a change if he really wanted it.

Agree. playing at Big Bear with a snow forecast, the game should have been moved to a neutral
site below the mountain. One of the schools in the Redlands Unified School District, Colton
High School or other Inland Empire school. If required to play at Beg Bear HS in the snow,
the CIF-SS should reimburse Baldwin Park for the lodging of the team overnight. A school
bus traveling down the mountain at night is dangerous enough, not to mention the possibility
    of Black Ice.

    🤫 🤬
I agree that it sucks that BP got stuck up on the mountain due to poor driving conditions.

As for your assessment of La Serna’s “tank and spank” tactics, you’re either a parent at a neighboring school or a coach from one of those schools. Either way, La Serna has a winning record over the last 15+ years. Keep on hating or DELETED 🤫

And a little fact for you, the 2023 Division 2 State Champions were up against a much higher rated Grant HS from the Sacramento area that had many division 1 recruits on their roster. La Serna overcame the stats on paper and were victorious.

Lot more comforting to cry about long delay because of black ice than cry about going off a cliff because of black ice

Well..I remember bus rides where the cheerleaders were on the team busses. My fondest of memories. And all night? I’m thinking there were not too many complaints from the students.

That’s too bad about the extended stay in the bus. I also feel badly for all the teams in division 5, who are unwitting victims of La Serna’s annual ‘tank and spank’ routine. This is where the Lancers deliberately tank games in the regular season, get into a creampuff division, then spank all their opponents. The resulting CIF title has the same worth as a possible Pioneer win in D14, which is to say ZERO.
