- Former MLB star/ Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson passed away Friday at the age of 65.
- Henderson, who played until the age of 44, owns the all-time stolen base record with 1,406 and has the most stolen bases in a season with 130 in 1982. Henderson also is the all-time leader in runs scored with 2,295 and is second in walks to Barry Bonds with 2,190.
- Henderson won a World Series title with the Oakland A’s in 1989 and with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1993.

- The Rams beat the New York Jets 19-9 Sunday to improve to 9-6 on the year and are now in sole possession of first place in the NFC West.
- Former UCLA quarterback Justyn Martin entered the transfer portal and has committed to Maryland.
- The New York Yankees signed first baseman Paul Goldschmidt to a one-year, $12.5 million deal.
- Jayden Daniels completed 24 of 39 for 258 yards and five touchdowns and also ran for 81 yards to lead the Washington Commanders to a 36-33 win over the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday.
- The Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings are tied for first place in the NFC North at 13-2 with two games remaining.
- Henderson, even in his early sixties, believed he could still play in the majors if another team would give him a chance. “We would sit there over breakfast, and he would watch the TV. And he would see how much today’s players were making – and he would look at their stats and say, ‘I can do that,'” said his wife Pamela Henderson.
