Kick it!
I didn’t think there was anything overly woke about Netflix’s NFL broadcast yesterday…and with the money they paid for the rights to host NFL games, I get all the big swings they’re taking for an audience.
However, if Netflix wants to get into sports, it must hire better people in front and behind the camera. They need to hire better content people and have a clue about the stress their sorry streaming tech causes for NFL fans on Christmas Day.

Note to NFL: Christmas Day games are find Friday through Monday…Tuesday through Thursday, leave it alone.
Note to NFL Players: Your union is not on your side.

Last Add Netflix: Cakes? Robes? Digital snowflakes? Who thought that was a great idea?

It’s Joe Thuney’s world, and we all live in it. I know that’s a bit much, but in a season of chaos at LT…the All-Pro guard is doing a great job protecting Patrick Mahomes blindside.
He’s allowed zero sacks against the Browns, Texans, and Steelers… That’s against Myles Garrett, Danielle Hunter, Will Anderson Jr, and T.J. Watt.

I’ve been out of the high school football scene for a while….Who won the San Antonio League this year?

Regarding Ravens-Texans:
You have to appreciate the way Lamar Jackson’s game just keeps getting better and better. And it’s because he works his butt off and is a leader.
I will not be upset if he wins a Super Bowl…the deal is that he has to win a Super Bowl.
Regarding QBs: DeMeco Ryans needs to make C.J. Stroud room with the linebackers and fed a steady diet of raw meat…Maybe some testosterone enhancers…The kid looks soft…After that crying spell at Arrowhead, I’d be curious to know what some veterans think.

Throwing this out to Dodger fans…Why make Ohtani a starter? Keep him at DH and use him as a fireman in high-leverage situations.
***
Next Add Chiefs: So if Travis Kelce pumps hips in sexually suggestive thrusts the NFL’s cool with it…But he dunks a ball over the goalpost after scoring a touchdown, and it’s a flag?
The NFL should be grateful we have the District of Columbia…otherwise its foolishness would be fully exposed.
***
Next to Last Add Chiefs: To think that Otis Taylor, who last played in the NFL in 1975, is still in the top five for receiving touchdowns, with 57, for the team is amazing.

I like hockey, but my schedule only allows me to watch playoff hockey…but I don’t know what Old Time Hockey is.
Is it playing outside in a baseball stadium? Or is it Dave “The Hammer” Schultz, The Hanson Brothers, Tim “Dr. Hook” McCracken, and Ogie Ogelthorpe kind of hockey?
If it’s the latter, sign me up.

The Arizona Cardinals will be without both of their starting tackles on Saturday night. LT Paris Johnson and RT Jonah Williams (The former Bengal) have been placed on the IR.

Was “Zero Day” made with the expectation of a Kamala Harris presidency?
***
Last Add KC: This is a dynasty because of Mahomes, Andy Reid, and Steve Spagnuolo, who (to the Chiefs’ benefit) whiffed as an HC…So they can be a little less talented because, as a team, they are always better.
Yesterday proved that the defense is more than just Chris Jones.

I have not seen a non-playoff college bowl game this year. Have you? Then again, I haven’t sat through any NBA games for a month.

So why can’t a talented high school player from El Monte get an NIL deal from Longo Toyota, play two years at Mt. SAC with a NIL deal, then play four years of D-1 football (at multiple schools), make money, and get an education?
Seven years of making money before entering the NFL Draft, likely with a degree,…so why would they need the NFL?

Jesus cried on multiple occasions. I guess he is soft too eh preacher?
From Joe T.: At death…not over an injury in a football game.
I believe that allowing high school football players (or athletes in any other sport) to enter into NIL deals would be a very bad idea; I say let them wait until they’re 18 years old and in college.
That way, they would be of legal age and therefore able to negotiate for themselves or to hire their own representatives. Then, unscrupulous parents and relatives wouldn’t be in such a good position to steal from talented youngsters.
Also, I think that allowing NIL deals at the high school level would create wealth and social status disparities that could cause jealously, enmity, and unneeded distractions for what are supposed to be amateur teams.
From Joe T.: I agree with you 100%…I just don’t know how you can prevent that from happening. Seems like it’s a powder keg waiting to go off.
Otis Taylor had Len Dawson throwing to him; that wasn’t a bad combination. They and their teammates beat the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV (1970).
