Kick it!
Note to Die-Hard USC Fans: I’m caught between a rock and a hard place. A tough call has to be made, so I’m making it. I’m rooting for Notre Dame if the Irish face Ohio State in a few weeks.
1.)–Marcus Freeman makes it easy not to hate Notre Dame.
2.)–I wouldn’t root for the Buckeyes even if they played the Russians.

Watching Boise St. Tuesday night and seeing their quarterback makes me ask, how bad was Malachi Nelson?
I’m not dumping on Maddux Madsen, but if the Broncos had a quarterback with better talent, they would’ve had a shot against the Nittany Lions.

Philly made the right move—the mature move—in announcing that Saquon Barkley will not play Week 18 against the Giants.
And as much as I would like to wrap up the third seed and set up a possible second-round home game… I’m good with the Rams sitting Matthew Stafford and friends against Seattle.
Truth is, unless they play the Cardinals, the Rams never have a home-field advantage.

Rams Note: In the McVay Era, the Rams are 0-2 in the playoffs the week after benching their starters in the season finale.

It was interesting that Rams Wire mentioned utilizing Jonah Jackson as an extra-blocker…especially since one of my RamView followers suggested it three weeks ago.
Point? I’m not saying it was stolen, but what I am saying is if you follow football, know the game, don’t defer from what your eyes see because someone else has a column, works for a website, or gets paid by ESPN.
(Note: This happens a lot in church work, too.)

The Washington TaxSkins have added former Rams Euro-import Max Pircher to their Practice Squad. The Dallas Cowboys have signed former Ram Earnest Brown IV off the Buccaneers PS.
The Cowboys also cut Ezekiel Elliott to allow him to hook on with a playoff team. Cool move, but who would sign him?
Lions, Vikings, Packers, Eagles, Bucs, Rams—No.
TaxSkins? Maybe?
Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, Steelers, Ravens—No.
Texans? Maybe?
Broncos, Dolphins, Bengals…whoever gets in…No.

Last Add Oregon: Thanks for nothing. Oh, and by the way, your uniform combos stink.

The Miami Dolphins have a cap hit next year of 39-rocks for Tua Tagovailoa …in 2026 it jumps to 56.
Tua has only played 11 games this year, didn’t play last week, and as of yesterday, Tyler Huntley was getting the snaps to prepare for Week 18.

Last Add Rose Bowl: I understand the need to be humble, but if I threw for over 300-yards and three touchdowns in Pasadena on New Year’s Day…I’d expect to be on the podium after the game when they pass out flowers.
I’d also expect my coach to have my back in this situation.

When parents would ask me about their kids playing football, I told them—even before NIL—to use football before football used them.
Quinn Ewers made 1.4 million while at Ohio State. His NIL value at Texas is 4.3 million, and news broke this week that another D-1 school is offering him 6-rocks to forgo the NFL Draft and play his final year of college football.
If Ewers agrees, his collegiate earnings will be between 12 to 14-rocks. Add to that an education and possibly work done (or completed) on a masters. And don’t forget, potentially, another run at a national title… that’s a youth well-lived.
My question is, does Ewers really need the NFL? It seems like he’s used football before football could use him.

Last Add Rams: Trading Ernest Jones IV to the Titans this summer wasn’t a disaster. Give another win to McSnead.

Regarding the Peach Bowl…for all the crap they call targeting…I couldn’t believe they didn’t call targeting with 1:03 to play on the Longhorn defender hitting the Sun Devil receiver.
The Longhorns are the Chargers of college football. Good, talented, but never trust—never place hope.
Think about it…Arizona State was a fourth and 13 stop from beating Texas.

How do you spot a ‘progressive’ in sports? Look for a KBMer whining about a fumble out of the end zone being declared a touchback.
This is a cry I’m hearing far too much of. If your team fumbles the ball out of the end zone…sorry! The defense gets it at their twenty.
It’s not about being fair. It’s about football.
The Dude abides…
