  1. Ohio St. beat Texas 28-14 Friday night in the College Football Playoff Semi-Final at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. 
  2. The College Football Championship is set: Ohio St. vs. Notre Dame Monday January 20 in Atlanta, Georgia. 
  3.  NFL Playoff results:  AFC – Houston 32 Chargers 12, Baltimore 28 Pittsburgh 14, Buffalo 31 Denver 7; NFC – Philadelphia 22 Green Bay 10, Washington 23 Tampa Bay 20.
  4. Rams vs Minnesota, Monday night, 5:00 p.m. Glendale, Arizona. 
  5. The New England Patriots have hired Mike Vrabel as their new head coach. 
  6. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, who had entered the transfer portal, has committed to Miami. 
  7. Mayfair receiver Chaz Gilbreath has received an offer from Dartmouth. 
  8. Michigan quarterback Alex Orji, who had entered the transfer portal, has committed to UNLV. 
  9. Former Colorado head football coach, Bill McCartney, who led the Buffaloes to their only national title in 1990, passed away Friday at the age of 84.
  10. Major League Baseball has banned two Yankees fans indefinitely from attending games at Big League ballparks for interfering with Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts during Game 4 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium last October.
