In those seven games the Rams have registered 19 sacks.
In the five losses Rams’ quarterbacks have thrown 11 picks and been sacked 10 times.
In the two wins Rams quarterbacks have only been intercepted twice and sacked twice.
Losses to the Vikings in the post-season have always been about the Rams offense.
1969: Vikings, 23-20—Played in Minnesota. Rams led 17-7 at the half, and gave up a safety late. So the defense only gave up 21.
1974: Vikings, 14-10—Played in Minnesota. The Rams turned the ball over five times.
1976: Vikings, 24-13—Played in Minnesota. The Rams had four turnovers, and Bobby Bryant returned a blocked kick 90 yards for a touchdown.
1977: Vikings, 14-7—Played in Los Angeles, in torrential rain. Called “The Mud Bowl.” Pat Haden throws three interceptions, but Lawrence McCutcheon rushed for 102 yards on 16 carries.
1978: Rams, 34-10—Played in Los Angeles. Rams break open 10-10 tie at the half.
1988: Vikings, 28-17—Played in Metrodome. Jim Everett throws three interceptions.
2000: Rams, 49-37—Played in St. Louis. Rams led 49-17 with eight minutes to play.
