(Glendora) – Glendora has named Ryan Lawrence the new head football coach the school confirmed Tuesday.
Lawrence has coached at Glendora for 14 years overall and has been an assistant under Brandon Roher for several years.
Roher stepped down in January after seven seasons at the helm.
The Tartans finished 9-5 overall last year, (3-2 in the Sierra League) and advanced all the way to the CIF Division 6 championship game before losing to Murrieta Mesa 17-7.
@NWO,
If the current trend is any indicator, then there’s no reason to worry. It probably means The line coach who has been running the weightroom the last few months will be named in a few weeks.
San Gabriel has a top 20 RB returning and several all-league returners and still no Head Coach?
Tis the season of promoting assistants. Nothing wrong with it but why did schools like Schurr, West Covina, and Glendora take so long to do it if the best guy was already in the building?
