  1. After sweeping the Detroit Tigers the Dodgers have started the season 5-0. 
  2. Duke, Houston, Florida and Auburn have all reached the Final Four in the NCAA Men’s Tournament. All four are number one seeds. 
  3. In the NCAA Women’s Tournament UCLA has reached the Final Four for the first time in program history. 
  4. Maryland Coach Kevin Willard has left the school to become the head basketball coach at Villanova. 
  5. New Mexico has hired former San Diego coach Eric Olen as the new head basketball coach. 
  6. The Memphis Grizzlies fired head coach Taylor Jenkins Friday despite the team’s 44-29 record. 
  7. The Las Vegas Raiders have signed veteran linebacker Devin White to a one-year deal. 
  8. The Buffalo Bills signed cornerback Christian Benford to a four-year, $76 million extension. 
  9. On this date in 1987 Indiana beat Syracuse 74-73 on a game winning shot by Keith Smart to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball championship. 
  10. USC has reached the Elite Eight in the NCAA Women’s Tournament despite losing JuJu Watkins early in the second-round game to an ACL injury. The Trojans will face UConn Monday night.

    7/7 boys flag football will over take tackle football in grades 6-12 in 5 years as far as participation. If they play in Fall then sooner. Many schools will then opt out of tackle football altogether.
