@ Nine: Yeah, politics has always been a contact sport and always will be. I’m fine with flag football, but not as an Olympic sport. The International Olympic Committee ought to bring back baseball, but at least we have the World Baseball Classic instead.
Since we’re discussing the Olympics, I have to say I find it odd that the biathlon (cross-country skiing and rifle shooting) is still part of the Winter Olympics. I guess that combination has a certain appeal in European countries which have bitterly cold winters, lots of snow, and a long tradition of fighting wars.
