  1. Oklahoma City beat Minnesota 114-88 Tuesday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. 
  2. The Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 in 10.innings Tuesday night to snap a four game losing streak.
  3. Former Bishop Amat head football coach Steve Hagerty is set to become the Athletic Director at West Covina. 
  4. Mt. View won by forfeit over Shalhevet in the second round of the CIF baseball playoffs Tuesday when some Shalhevet players participated in another tournament while the playoffs were still in progress. 
  5. The Chicago Bears signed two-time All Pro guard Joe Thuney to a two-year contract extension worth $17.5 million per season. 
  6. The Rams and the Atlanta Falcons are interested in Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey. 
  7. Arcadia, who fell to Mira Costa 5-4 Tuesday in the CIF Baseball Division 1 playoffs, finished the season with a record of 26-4. 
  8. Isaac Solorzano threw a 1-hit shutout to lead Montebello to a 1-0 win over St. Bonaventure Tuesday in the CIF Baseball Division 6 playoffs.

  10. Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton invited Hans Perez, a fan who was heckled and pelted by bags of garbage in New York for wearing Haliburton’s jersey, to the Eastern Conference Finals in Indianapolis.

    @ Nine: Yeah, politics has always been a contact sport and always will be. I’m fine with flag football, but not as an Olympic sport. The International Olympic Committee ought to bring back baseball, but at least we have the World Baseball Classic instead.
    Since we’re discussing the Olympics, I have to say I find it odd that the biathlon (cross-country skiing and rifle shooting) is still part of the Winter Olympics. I guess that combination has a certain appeal in European countries which have bitterly cold winters, lots of snow, and a long tradition of fighting wars.

    I’ll buy into flag football on the day such a pansy approach is used in politics, which means never.
