1. The Dodgers lost to the Houston Astros 5-1 Sunday and were swept in the three-game series.

2. The 18-1 loss to the Astros Friday night was the worst loss by the Dodgers in the history of Dodger Stadium. 

3. Former Pasadena star Omari Moore, who went on to play at San Jose State, is on the San Antonio Spurs Summer League roster.

4. Former Chicago White Sox reliever Bobby Jenks, who helped the White Sox win the World Series in 2005, passed away at the age of 44.

5. The Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw was named to the National League All-Star team as a legend pick in honor of his illustrious career. 

6. Dallas Cowboys kick returner KaVontae Turpin was arrested Saturday in Texas and is facing two misdemeanor charges.

7. The Washington Nationals fired manager Dave Martinez and GM Mike Rizzo on Sunday. The Nationals are 37-53 on the year.

8. The New York Knicks have reportedly signed Mike Brown to a four-year, $40 million deal to become their new head coach. 

9. Fred Robledo of SGVN Sports reported that former South Hills and Mt. SAC baseball coach Kevin Smith has been named the new head coach at Los Altos.  

10. Veteran point guard Chris Paul announced that he will retire after the 2025-’26 NBA season.
