(El Monte) – Arroyo hosted a four-way throw Thursday afternoon with South El Monte, Duarte and La Puente. The Knights rotated two quarterbacks as freshman Oscar Lopez Jr. and senior Angel Casillas both saw action.

South El Monte lost several players to graduation including quarterback Matthew Medina. Senior Michael Maldonado is ready to step into his place.

The lineman also saw some action in the trenches. The La Puente and Duarte linemen were getting after it. Here’s a few shots from the action.

Crazy to see Lopez’s boy all grown up playing the QB. Felt like yesterday he was walking around the weight room and messing with the players. Best of luck to you kid! #co2019
8 on 6 or 8 on 5 if a 52 or 34 defense is being implemented.
Don’t know but I just thought of this. 7 on 7 should really be called 7 on 6. It’s not like the center is going to run out to catch a pass.
I’m fast, you can even call it 7 on 5 because the QB can’t throw to himself!
