- After losing seven straight games the Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants Saturday and Sunday to take two out of three in the series. They head into the All-Star game 5.5 games ahead of the San Diego Padres in the NL West.
- The MLB All-Star game is set for Tuesday at 5:00 PM on Fox.
- The Washington Nationals selected shortstop Eli Willits from Fort Cobb-Broxton High School in Oklahoma with the number one overall pick in the MLB draft.
- The Dallas Mavericks have shut down number one overall pick Cooper Flagg for the summer.
- Jannik Skinner defeated Carlos Alcarez in four sets Sunday to win his first Wimbledon championship Sunday.
- Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh announced his retirement Saturday after playing 12 seasons in the NFL. He was out of football for the last two seasons.
- After a 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday the Boston Red Sox have won 10 straight games. Boston is in third place in the NL East, 3 games behind the first place Toronto Blue Jays.
- Mission Viejo won the Battle of the Beach Tournament.
- San Juan Hills won the Ocean View Tournament.
- Tustin, which beat Bishop Amat in the Final to win the Azusa Tournament, will face Damien on the road in Week 3.
