(Arcadia) – Arcadia outscored Glendale 30-6 in the third quarter to bust the game wide open and went on to an 82-34 rout of the Nitros Tuesday night at Arcadia High.
The Apaches were already leading 44-24 at the half. Mateo Ingersoll had 11 in the first half to lead the way and Tyrese Butler scored nine – all in the second quarter. Noa Edwards and Owen Edwards each scored eight first half points as the Apaches scored 22 points in each of the first two quarters.

Glendale meanwhile was living by the three-point shot. 18 of the Nitros’ 22 first half points came on shots from beyond the arc. They were already down by 20 and things only got worse when the third quarter began.
The Apaches came out in a suffocating full court press that the Nitros couldn’t break. With Owen Edwards leading the way Arcadia went on an 18-1 run that buried Glendale. At times Glendale failed to get off a shot or tuned the ball over which turned into steals and easy baskets for Arcadia.
When the third quarter buzzer mercifully sounded the Apaches were up 74-30. That led to a running clock in the fourth quarter as Arcadia cruised to its seventh consecutive win.
The Apaches had four players in double figures. Owen Edwards led the way with 21, 13 in the third quarter, and Noa Edwards had 16. Ingersoll scored 14 and Butler added 13.

Noa Edwards, a senior, reached 1,000 career points for Arcadia with a free throw in the third quarter.
For Glendale Mason Manolo led the team with 10 points and Michael Vanillian added eight. The Nitros only scored 10 points in the second half.
Arcadia. which has been red hot lately, improved to 9-1 overall and 3-0 in the Pacific League. Glendale fell to 4-7 and 1-1 in league.
