- Detroit Tigers ace and two-time defending two-time AL Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal will have arthroscopic surgery for loose bodies in his left elbow Wednesday. He is expected to miss two to three months.
- Former New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs was found not guilty Tuesday of assaulting his private chef in a pay dispute.
- New York Yankees longtime radio announcer John Sterling, who broadcast Yankees games for parts of 36 seasons, passed away Monday at the age of 87. The Yankees will wear a patch on their jersey sleeves the rest of the season in his honor.
- Baseball: La Canada wrapped up the Rio Hondo League title with a 9-2, 9 Inning win over Monrovia Monday.
- Baseball: Charter Oak cliched the Valle Vista League title with an 8-7 win over West Covina Tuesday. It was the Chargers first league title in baseball since 2007, the same year they won the CIF title.
- The Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Guardians are tied for first place in the AL Central with records of 18-19.
