There needs to be a statute of limitations on the duration of this kind of investigation. The league is obviously trying to hang Ballmer as a show of dominance over his wealth, but since the bald one has covered his rich rump so thoroughly, nothing can be proven. Perhaps Adam Silver and company know this, and are dragging things out to make it appear that no stone has been unturned to arrive at the truth. In the real world, everyone knows Ballmer is guilty in this thing, and that the league doesn’t want to piss him off, because then Steve would very likely sue to end the salary cap.
