News:
-Kyle Pimental (7-0) beat Olaf Alfonso (8-11) by 3rd round TKO to take Alfonso’s Middleweight title at PFC 13. Also on the card lightweight Carlo Prater (24-6-1), and flyweight Par Runez (2-0) took home vacant PFC championships.
-In a non-title Middleweight match up former WEC Light Heavyweight Champion Doug “The Rhino” Marshall (10-3) edged out Jaime Jara (21-7) by split decision in PFC 13 main event.
-“TUF *” cast member Antwain Britt (7-2) knocked out UFC veteran and one time rising star Antonio Mendes (16-5) eight seconds into the first round of Shine Fights’ debut event. Mendes has now lost his last three fights, while Britt has won four of his last five.
-Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (17-3) beat Dion Staring (15-6) by third round triangle choke at Jungle Fight debut event.
-Takanori Gomi (30-5) got back to his winning ways with a second round TKO win over Shooto Champion Takashi Nakakura (11-3-1) in a non-title match.
-Thales Leites (14-2) will take the place of injured Rousimar Palhares at UFC 101 against slugger Alessio Sakara (13-7).
