Good Morning!
T-Minus-45 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodger lineup…
Dwight Howard called out Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy after the Magic lost to Boston, 92-88, last night for not getting him the ball down the stretch.
Van Gundy, in line for a job at the U.S. State Department after his coaching days, will be issuing an apology soon and accepting responsibility.
Lou Brock, Mickey Rivers, Willie Wilson, Ricky Henderson, Vince Coleman and now Jayson Werth?
The ex-Dodger stole four bases, including home, against Los Angeles last night. Scanlan can correct me on this, and I will accept it as easily as a federal check…but any theft of home is an insult.
I haven’t really been into hockey since Washington’s Dale Hunter took out New York Islander Pierre Turgeon back in 1993…Which was also the last year the Montreal Canadians won the Cup…Which was also the last, and only time, the L.A. Kings reached a Cup final…
…And former Kings coach Barry Melrose has parlayed that little post season winning streak, 16 years ago, into an entire career at ESPN.
Uh-oh…Tim Floyd looks like he’s in trouble…Actually I wouldn’t have paid a dime for O.J. Mayo…And I don’t think USC got its money’s worth…That dough could have been better spent on buying Taj Gibson and Daniel Hackett new cars.
Where is the common sense in education today?
I wonder how Arizona is looking now to Floyd…
With the El Monte School District on the verge of closing Mulhall and Norwood schools, what happens when a high school closes? What happens to the football players? Are they free to transfer to any school? Is it like the old Reserve Clause in baseball are they just assigned to the nearest school? Shouldn’t there be a dispersal draft?
What if one of the five high schools in the El Monte Union closes, shouldn’t the remaining four have first dibs? Especially when you think of the money football can make, shouldn’t a school like Mt. View have the first pick?
Shameless Plug Department: I would recommend all of our interviews last night on sports show…click on and watch when you get a chance…
Not on camera was my pinning of Vache Sevajian on the ground and making him yell uncle…When he’s in the NFL I will dine on that…Alright, I didn’t pin him down. Big dude…Great testimony…
