Schurr Outlasts South El Monte, 12-6

By Rich Whittington (Montebello) – The Schurr Spartans scored early and managed to hold off several challenges from the visiting South El Monte Eagles, winning 12-6 in Monday afternoon’s Ladies 7 on 7 Flag Football contest in the friendly confines of Ken Davis Field.

Lions Prove Victorious, 34-20

By Rich Whittington (El Monte) -The El Monte Lions took advantage of some Senior Night magic Thursday evening, defeating the visiting Mt. View Vikings, 34-20, in what all but guarantees them a third-place Mission Valley League finish and an outside chance at an “At-large” playoff berth.

Oilers Defeat Moors with Last-Minute Field Goal
