(Bell Gardens) The Charter Oak Chargers traveled south to Bell Gardens to take on the Lancers who had just come off a big victory over Norwalk. The Chargers brought Bell Gardens back to earth with a 49-0 thrashing Friday night.

Charter Oak wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard marching 60 yards on seven plays with Zion Echols getting the score from 17 yards away.
The Lancers did not answer on their first drive and punted the ball back to the Chargers who set up shop on their own 41. Six plays later Echols was in the endzone again.
Charter Oak pushed the lead to 42-0 before the break on with two more Echols scores and a 13 yard pass from Kamden Brown to Brain Casteel.
Charger head coach Lou Farrar pulled his starters for the second have but Charger Oak did manage another score on a Kendle McMillian two yard run.
*** Echols finished the night gaining 201 yards on 13 carries with five scores.
*** Noah Quintero was held to 26 yards rushing yards but did have four catches for 48 yards receiving.
*** Brown was perfect on the night hitting on all 12 of his passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
*** Bell Gardens was held to 171 yards of offense.
*** Casteel was Charter Oak’s leading receiver hauling in four passes for 32 yards and a score.
*** It was a long night for Jordan Cardenas who completed just nine of 23 passes for 108 yards.
*** The Charter Oak offense was extremley efficient scoring on five of six offensive drives in the first half.
*** Cal Berkely commit Echols gave the crowd a show when he fought throught the Lancer defense and was off to the races for a 93 bolt to paydirt.
*** Bell Gardens goes on the road next week to take on Claremont.
*** Charter Oak will return home to host the Glendora Tartans.
