(El Monte) – Village Christian beat San Dimas in the Final to win the SGV Shootout at Arroyo Saturday. Village Christian knocked off Don Lugo in the Semi-Finals and San Dimas beat Diamond Bar.

Not sure what you had seen, but it was all love between Village Christian and Don Lugo. Players and coaches respected one another and kids had fun before the semifinal game. They played a game of shadow boxing to see who would start on offense while all kids had fun. Great day of competing for both teams. Excited to see how everyone does during the regular season when the pads come on.

Highlight of the day for me was watching the new Monrovia “head coach” using profane language and getting into it with former Monrovia quarterback Noah Rodriguez who is now at Don Lugo as a coach.
Don lugo coaching staff is GARBAGE! Glad we took them out of the tournament. Seems like nobody had anything nice to say about those clowns! Horrible leadership!
