1. The Angels beat the Colorado Rockies 25-1 Saturday night at Coors Field setting a franchise record for runs scored in a game.
2. Florida beat LSU 24-4 Sunday in Game 2 of the College World Series Championship to even the series at 1-1. It’s the most runs ever scored in a single game at the College World Series. The deciding Game 3 is Monday night.
3. The Houston Astros beat the Dodgers 6-5 in 11 innings Sunday but the Dodgers took two out of three in the series.
4. Gonzaga’s Drew Timme, Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe and Adama Sanogo of UConn all went undrafted in last week’s NBA draft.
5. The remodel at B.L. Bergstrom Stadium at Arroyo High School is underway. Arroyo will play all of their games on the road this season. The project should be finished by December of this year.
6. New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has advocated for the legalization of psychedelics at a conference in Denver last week.
7. The Angels acquired infielder Mike Moustakas from the Rockies in exchange for minor league pitcher Connor Van Scoyac.
8. West Virgina named assistant Josh Eilert as its new head basketball coach to replace Bob Huggins who resigned last week.
9. Hoover and Keppel both competed at the SGV Shootout at Arroyo Saturday.
10. UCLA’s Amari Bailey was selected in the second round with the 41st overall pick in the NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets.

Downey grad here, I wouldn’t go with warren to start with the letter ‘w’. They don’t deserve to be spelled with a capital w.
Warren won the USC passing tournament Saturday, in a field that included Mater Dei, Sierra Canyon, LB Poly, Los Alamitos, Orange Lutheran, Serra, Loyola and Chaminade. The pads have yet to come on, but I’m going with Warren in the city rivalry game with Downey this fall.
