(El Monte) – Paul Rodriguez has stepped down as the head football coach at Mt. View. He was asked to resign after allowing a player to participate in a game who was not cleared from a previous injury according to multiple sources.

Mid Valley High School Football Top 12

Quarterback Keyon Mills and Muir look better every week.

There were only two losses in the Top 12. Bishop Amat lost to fall to 2-5 and out of the rankings while San Dimas fell to Number 4 Northview. Number 1 Damien rallied to get a huge win over Upland while La Canada moved into the Top 12 with another lopsided win in the Rio Hondo League.

Penn State Gives Trojans the Boot in Overtime

Seven Straight for Vikings

(Covina) – Keanu Tauvao rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns to lead Northview to a 40-10 rout of San Dimas Friday night at Covina District Field. The Vikings kept their perfect season intact with their seventh straight victory.

Montebello Outlasts Alhambra, 24-14

(Alhambra) – The visiting Montebello Oilers took a big step toward a playoff spot by beating Alhambra, 24-14, in an Almont League game played Friday night at Moor Field. The Oilers (2-0 in league and 4-3 overall) are currently in a first-place tie with Schurr and Bell Gardens.
