(Montebello) – The Schurr Spartans hosted the annual rivalry game against Montebello Friday night and for the second straight season, the Spartans came out on top and will maintain bragging rights with a 14-0 win over the Montebello Oilers.
Claremont quarterback Nathan Giles had two rushing touchdowns.

West Covina: The West Covina Bulldogs came into Friday night’s homecoming game against the visiting Claremont Wolfpack looking to repeat as San Antonio league champs.
(Alhambra) – Well, the Alhambra Moors were going to the CIF playoffs anyway, regardless of the outcome of their homecoming game against the San Gabriel Matadors last Friday night.

(San Marino) – The South Pasadena Tigers were in a great position going into Friday’s matchup against the rival San Marino Titans; they were 8-1, everyone predicted them to handily beat this week’s opponent, and they had the playoffs firmly in their grasp. In fact, with all of these factors in place, some were asking why they even needed to play the game? Unfortunately for South Pas, someone forgot to tell the Titans that they were supposed to lose. As a result, the host Titans upset the visiting Tigers, 23-21, in front of a very enthusiastic crown Titans’ Stadium.
(Baldwin Park) – Sierra Vista, a team that finished 0-8 last year, finished the regular season 7-3 with a 29-6 victory over Wilson Friday night at home.
El Rancho’s Angel Diaz scored on offense, made several tackles on defense, led his teammates and did everything except sell popcorn in the snack bar in the win over Cal Thursday night.

(Whittier) – Angel Diaz scored on a five-yard run with 7:26 left in the game to lift El Rancho to a 21-14 win over California Thursday night at Cal High.
(El Monte) – The El Monte Lions had a choice to make on Thursday evening; win the game and earn a trip to the playoffs or lose and end up relying on the results of a coin flip to break a potential three-way tie. The Lions chose option #1, defeating the visiting Rosemead Panthers, 28-21, in front of a very vocal, sometimes rowdy, crowd in the friendly confines of Lions’ Stadium.
