By Tim Peterson (Baldwin Park) – Matt Villasenor has resigned as the Co Head Football Coach at Sierra Vista. Co Head Coach Sergio Villasenor is expected to step down as well and will let the administration know of his decision Friday.

Northview Wins Spring Finale

By Tim Peterson (Covina) – Northview rallied from a six point deficit late in the third quarter and went on to beat Los Altos 20-12 Saturday night in the Spring season finale at Covina District Field.

All Inglewood in M-Town, 58-19

By Tim Peterson (Monrovia) – Inglewood had all of its weapons on display jumping out to a 24-7 first quarter lead and cruising the rest of the way in a 58-19 win over Monrovia Friday night on the Wildcats home field.

Pasadena Throttles Muir

By Rich Whittington (Pasadena) – The Pasadena Bulldogs dominated the John Muir Mustangs Friday evening, 33-6, claiming the 2020 Turkey Tussle championship, in front of a few friends and family members at Pasadena’s historic Rose Bowl.

Arroyo 7 Rosemead 1 – FINAL

By Tim Peterson (El Monte) – Arroyo jumped on Rosemead for two runs in the first inning and went on to beat the Panthers 7-1 Wednesday in Mission Valley League action. It was the opening game for the Knights as they moved to 1-0 while Rosemead dropped to 0-2.

Cathedral 12 Temple City 3-FINAL

Late Touchdown Lifts Bearcats

By Tim Peterson (Covina) – Sean Jastrab hit Hunter Grosenbach with a six-yard touchdown pass with 33 seconds left to lift Bonita to a 15-14 win over Charter Oak Friday night at Lou Farrar Stadium.

By Tim Peterson In a local high school game last Friday night the quarterback scrambled to his right, beat the corner to the edge and began to head up field. And just as he was ready to break away he dropped the ball…no defender around…he just dropped it and the opponent recovered.
