Mt Sac 36           Riverside 10 (Sept. 25, 2010 at Walnut, CA)

Bryce McBride (Los Altos) led Mt Sac to a 4-0 record gaining 90-yards on 17 carries with two scores. McBride also had a kick return of 13-yards. Marcus Wagner (Bishop Amat) added 71-yards on the ground and a touchdown. Daniel Joseph (San Dimas) saw action with 13 carries for 39-yards. Nick Lamaison (South Hills) completed 15 of 21 for 220-yards and a touchdown. Michael Harrell (Charter Oak) and Richard Parham (South Hills) each had a catch for 26 and 20 yards respectively. Evan Highley (Bonita) punted three times for a total of 116-yards and Jeremy Brown (Los Altos) booted a 27-yard field goal.

On Defense, Deshawn Gaisie (Bishop Amat) and Xavier Molina-Williams (Diamond Ranch) each recorded a tackle.

PCC 34      Desert 14 (Sept. 25, 2010 at Pasadena, CA)

Pasadena improved to 4-0 getting three touchdowns from Reuben Thomas (Muir). Thomas had five receptions for 114-yards and two scores and returned a punt 80-yards for another score. Devance Harris (Charter Oak) caughe five balls for 78-yards and a touchdown and Michael Harrison (Pasadena) caught four for 61. Danny Robinson (Pasadena) carried the ball eight times for 42-yards and had two receptions for 23. Michael Varela (San Gabriel) punted three times for 91-yards total.

Defensively, Cordell Robinson (Muir) had eight tackles, Grant Haggard (Monrovia) had seven and Joey Dixon (Blair) had six.

ELAC 6       Canyons 33 (Sept 25, 2010 at Monterey Park, CA)

ELAC dropped their third game of the season at home on Saturday. Darion Green-Simpson (Pasadena) on offense caught three balls for 37-yards.

For the defense it was Chris Dunlap (Muir) with four tackles Ryan Beatty (Alhambra) had five and Mitchell Garner (Muir), Christopher De Leon (Montebello) and Chris Floyd (Monrovia) each had one tackle.

Cerritos 44        West Los Angeles 7 (Sept. 25, 2010 at Norwalk, CA)

Cerritos kept their record spotless and their place near the top of the Mid Valley Top Seven. Carlos Arredondo (Schurr) had four receptions for 38-yards and his first touchdown of the season. Angel Sanchez (Schurr) saw punting duty with a forty-yarder.

On defense, Tony Rodriguez (Bell Gardens) saw action recording one tackle.

Citrus 6       Bakersfield 54 (Sept 25, 2010 at Glendora,CA)

Citrus lost their second straight of the year getting blasted at home. Brandon Stansell (Rowland) managed to turn in a solid performance with 101-yards on 18 carries and caught three for 33. Ricky Johnson (West Covina) added 40-yards on 10 carries, Scott Dooley (San Marino) had two catches for 18-yards and B.J. Oyefeso (Rowland) and Rauley Zaragosa (Azusa) each caught one pass for 13 and 12-yards respectively. Citrus’ only scores came on field goals of 21 and 31 yards by Eric De Lira (Diamond Ranch).

Trying to slow down Bakersfield was Jesse Tavililli (West Covina) with nine tackles, Fernando Noriega (El Monte) with eight, Andrew Rodriguez (Northview) had seven and Giovanni Mantilla (San Dimas) had six. Nico Barbone (San Dimas) and Josyah O’Keefe-Lopez (Charter Oak) each had four, William Sanchez (Monrovia) and Josh Wiley (South Hills) added three each and Mitch Mullaly (Northview), Jesse Prieto and Gabriel Flores (both from Bishop Amat) all had two.

Fullerton 37          Golden West 12 (Sept. 25, 2010 at Costa Mesa, CA)

Fullerton improved to 3-1 on the season. As usual it on the defensive side of the ball where the locals see the most action. Jamal Brown (South Hills) had two tackles and Chima Ike (Walnut) and Adrian Lopez (Santa Fe) each had a tackle

Glendale 28          Alan Hancock 44 (Sept. 25, 2010 at Righetti High School)

Glendale lost their fourth straight to open the season. On offense Reynaldo Reyes (Blair) caught four passes for 77-yards and a touchdown. Reyes also had a tackle defensively.

On defense, Jean Khajarian (Glendale) had a big night with 12 tackles, Davon Jackson (Muir) had seven, and Jacob Meza (Burroughs) had six. Charles Hendricks (Pasadena) and Nick Leon (Crescenta Valley) each had two tackles and DaVeon Samuel (Muir) and Thadeus Brown (Pasadena) each chipped in with one.
