Why is everyone worried about Rivera? He scored two touchdowns last night.

Latest out of Camelot: Arroyo quarterback Steven Rivera is expected to start tonight against La Canada.

Good Morning!

After seeing Gypsy John Tuttle at Glendale last night I have a feeling his wandering days may be behind him…

Move the Chains…

Steven Rivera’s ankle is fine, he scored two touchdowns for Burbank Thursday against Glendale…

Still no votes for Covina quarterback Billy Livingston? This cracks me up, because everyone is going to come out of the wood work if the Colts have a great Valle Vista and post season run. No doubt the refrain of “Oh, I’ve always been a Billy Livingston fan!” Will be heard everywhere…

Might even use it myself…

I’m going with La Canada tonight at Bergstrom over Arroyo…I know its a gamble…but that’s me…Mr. Vegas… The Knights will pound Mikey Vasquez and keep it close, but the Spartans need a win. Arroyo will win the Mission Valley and Monrovia is going to win the Rio Hondo… LC needs a signature win on the road, all games are important but this one is a “Fate of World” type to Dan Yoder and company.

We’re sending Big Tony to Whittier Christian-Cantwell tonight… Personally I think the guy should be paying us for that game.

Note to Whittier Christian DC Pete Karavedas: (Because I know you come here for advice 🙂 )… Cardinal quarterback Christian Espinoza is no chump, dude can play and he has a heck of a receiver in Adam Aguirre. Tell deep men Paul O’Laughlin and Taylor Smith to be on their toes.

Note to Zeke Prado: I would have included myself in the poll, if I would have gotten the reps I was promised at a certain alumni game over the summer….

A month into the season, Arcadia finally gets a home game in the newly renovated Salter Stadium…

“It looks nice, really nice,” said one Apache staffer…

Better Late than Never: Don’t want to be cute, but congrats to Apache HC Jon Dimalante on getting his 100th win last week over Pasadena.

A 7:PM kick-off…two running teams…I’m gonna guess the Rosemead-Temple City game is over by 8:45… I have a feeling the Panthers are going to be very, very hungry tonight… Rose-Mean by three touchdowns…

Do we have a name for this game yet?

Move the Chains…

Last Add Arcadia: Muir expects to be healthy tonight for the first time all season…As Keith Jackson used to say; “There will be a whole lotta head knockin goin on!”

Both teams throw, but whoever establishes the run gets the Big W.

Move the Chains…

Yes, we are fans of Temple City’s Tim Sanderson.

Note to Officials: I’m not as hard on you as Josh Ouellette…but could you stay out of my way when I’m taking a photo? I’ll step back five, ten, 15 yards, but can you keep your kiesters out of my shots? Mmm? Please…and regain my respect…thank you…

On this Date in 1999 Bassett rolled up 569 yards on the ground and rolled South Pasadena 68-29… SAY WHAT? … I said 68-29.

On the same night, at Rosemead High School, Cal got a 17-yard touchdown pass from Andy Gonzalez to Brian Reboledo with less than two minutes to play securing for the Condors an 11-8 victory over Gabrielino.

…and at Aztec Field, same night-same year, San Gabriel sapped an 11-game losing streak to San Marino with a 24-10 victory. Matador fortunes were keyed by Fester Hout’s 54-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter.

Definition of a Nightmare: Taking a snap from center and having Burbank’s Ryan Seidler coming right at you…Don’t believe me? Ask Glendale quarterback Alex Yoon.

Stay thirsty my friends…
