Old School Top 12

The time came for Mountain View to prove it was for real and couldn’t do it. I really thought Jossymar Ulloa would be enough to get a win but apparently the Lions have a pretty good back themselves in Michael Jimenez. Does Blair tackle? Monrovia scored on its first five plays from scrimmage so apparently not. Temple City got its 400th win as a school. There’s lots of history there and congratulations to them for winning on homecoming with Mike Mooney coming back to North Field on the opposing sideline, the Rams are back baby!

.) Monrovia (4-2) – How large will the W/L disparity be between M-Town and the rest in the Rio Hondo League? It looks like a dogfight for second and third.

.) Arroyo (5-1) – Not only winning but winning with style. Steven Rivera is accurate, 13/14 passing last week.

.) Arcadia (3-3) – Loss in overtime isn’t enough to throw me off the bandwagon. At Burbank next.

.) Alhambra (4-2) – Well my 60 point prediction didn’t come through, but 45 will do. Almont victor could be decided next week when Schurr comes to town.

.) Rosemead (4-2) – Special teams came up big with three scores last week against Gabby, but then again it was what we’ve come to expect from Gabby.

.) Temple City (2-4) – The Rams could be 3-3 right now if they held on against Rosemead last week. Hard knocks in out-of-league schedule could pay dividends in Rio Hondo and who would of guessed that?

.) San Gabriel (2-4) – Matadors continue to be inconsistent. One point loss to Montebello hurts.

.) El Monte (2-4) – Lions roar, Jimenez runs for 244-yards and four touchdowns in Crosstown Showdown victory.

.) Mountain View (3-3) – View I believed in you…you let me down. Let’s get back on track with South El Monte next week okay?

.) Gabrielino (3-3) – Gabby could only muster six points against a team that gave up 48 to San Gabriel. Eagles continue to win big or lose big.

.) South El Monte (1-5) – When it rains it pours, things are looking bad in The Swamp.

.) Duarte (0-5) – When Ganesha is throwing up 62 points, you know things are bad…really bad.
