It is down to the “Great Eight” with only two upsets occurring last week. Although Norwalk did defeat Arcadia, the Lancers did face some monsters during the regular season. Muir’s big win against La Mirada makes the Mustangs this year’s “Cinderella”.

1.        West Covina (10-1) – Took care of business against a weak Suburban League team that was already heading down hill.

2.       La Serna (10-1) – Lancer fans had to breathe a “sigh of relief” after narrowly escaping with a win against Walnut.

3.       Bonita (10-1) – Good warm-up in first round with win against California. Now must be ready for tough Muir team.

4.       Muir (7-4) – Mustangs didn’t just beat La Mirada on Friday, they dismantled the Matadores.

5.       Burroughs (7-4) – The “Yanez Brothers” are clicking at the best time possible heading into difficult road game against Mayfair.

6.       Mayfair (7-4) – “The Mid” wrote off Monsoons after reports of chemistry issues. Maybe issues were more along the line of the desire to win Suburban League title.

7.       Norwalk (7-4) – Much talked about offense ran wild over Lancers, overlooked was how the defense didn’t allow the lead to slip away.

8.       Santa Fe (7-4) – This just in…..Chiefs now have a passing game that can go with the running game.
