Good Morning!

T-Minus-23 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodgers lineup

Who looked better last night the Lakers and Kobe Bryant or the Phillies Cole Hamels?

Better question, who looked worse; Orlando or the Dodger hitters against Cole Hamels?

The Sporting News projects former Southman Lee Aguirre as a starting cornerback for BYU this fall…Now that’s the kind of sugar daddy likes!

I say this as someone who used to love basketball: The only way to get better is by being on the court…So how is Andrew Bynum going to get better being on the bench in foul trouble?

Old issue, resurfacing angst, the NBA needs to dump the foul out rule and penalize teams with extra free throws for every foul committed over the limit.

For a league built around stars, not teams, the NBA needs to keep its stars and potential stars on the court…It would be like seeing “Rochelle Rochelle the Musical” with the understudy instead of Bette Middler…

Go Orlando!…And I’m not talking Bo…

By the fourth quarter last night Dwight Howard looked like a tailback who’d had enough…And unless the Magic is willing to go Urlacher on Kobe coming down the middle and clothes line him…they will lose this series…

Where’s Rick Mahorn when you need him?

Mid Death Valley News…I like that one…I also liked Mid F-ing Valley News…we’ve also been called by Rat Dog John Gillette the Mid Evil Valley News… To the MVN Nation (I think MVN County sounds too cheap)… Thanks for battling for us on the Trib-Star boards, and by all means go ahead, I’m not asking you to stop, just don’t let it get personal…Keep it classy.

Obligatory John Scanlan question of the day (he’s coming in for a guest shot on June 23rd…I gotta keep him happy folks): With an eight game lead and an obviously hurting Rafael Furcal, why don’t the Dodgers put him and his aching back on the D.L. for 15 days?

Why do Greenpeacers keep hassling me to join? Do I look like Im unemployed and living off my parents?

No doubt you’ve heard the Thomas Gray line; “Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, and waste its sweetness on the desert air.” … This applies to recently passed former NBA guard Randy Smith who toiled the better part of his 12-year career with the Buffalo Braves who are the ancestral founders of the Los Angeles Clippers…

Stay thirsty my friends…
